Studio Sale

Welcome, and thank you for being part of a more intimate circle around my work and studio.

For this studio sale, I am offering a limited selection of drawings from a sketchbook that marked a significant turning point in my practice. In 2021, I began exploring how frequency could function as a drawing technique. The first drawings emerged from long periods of looking at the water during my commute to and from Staten Island. At the time, I had no idea that this way of drawing would eventually lead me to titanium and electricity three years later. Working in this sketchbook felt like opening something within myself. The drawings became a way of listening inward, of encountering something that felt both deeply familiar and entirely new. As they developed, I gradually stopped painting. The materials I had previously worked with no longer felt sensitive enough for the visual language that was emerging. I continued drawing until, years later, I found titanium. I have kept this sketchbook close ever since. I still return to it before I begin painting, and many of the ideas that continue to shape my work can be traced back to these pages. After holding onto the book for several years, I feel ready to release a small number of these drawings from the studio. Alongside them, I am offering a few titanium works from the beginning of my practice with the material, bringing together two closely connected moments in the development of my work.
